Smart Bill

Smart Bill respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Smart Bill Android application.
Smart Bill handles information that you enter or create, including shop and business details; customer names, mobile numbers and other contact details if entered; products; invoices and invoice items; prices, discounts and GST information; payment status and payment details; due dates and reminder dates; business notes; and generated or exported documents. This business data is primarily stored in a Room database and private storage on your device.
Smart Bill uses its local database as the working source of truth. Existing local information can be viewed offline, and supported business changes made while temporarily offline are stored locally and synchronized when connectivity returns after Google Drive has been connected. Some protected business operations may require Google Drive authorization to be established first.
You may choose to connect Smart Bill to Google Drive. Smart Bill requests only the restricted Google Drive application-data scope:

This permission allows Smart Bill to store and read its own synchronization snapshots in Google Drive's private application-data area. It does not give Smart Bill permission to browse, read, change or delete your unrelated Google Drive files. The current authorization flow does not provide Smart Bill with your Google profile name or email address, and Smart Bill never receives your Google password.
Normal synchronization is passwordless and relies on your Google authorization, HTTPS, and Google Drive platform security. Snapshots contain the business records needed for synchronization together with revision, integrity and device-ownership metadata, including a logical data revision and a canonical SHA-256 integrity value.
Smart Bill uses a single-active-device synchronization model. A new or reconnected installation may require a controlled comparison or takeover before it can become the active writer. This design is not real-time multi-device collaboration or record-by-record merging.
Data stored in Google Drive's application-data area is associated with and controlled through your Google account and is also subject to Google's terms, privacy practices, availability and retention controls.
Smart Bill displays banner, interstitial and native advertisements using Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Google and its advertising partners may process advertising identifiers and device, network, interaction, diagnostic or other ad-related information as applicable to serve, limit, personalize, measure and protect advertising. The precise data processed can depend on your device, region, consent choices, Google settings and the advertisement served.
Where legally required, Smart Bill uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and manage advertising consent. When applicable, a Manage Privacy Choices option is available in the app. Google's handling of advertising data is governed by Google's own policies.
Smart Bill can schedule local payment-reminder notifications for unpaid invoices. On Android versions that require notification permission, reminders are shown only after that permission is granted. Reminder processing occurs on the device. Smart Bill does not use a cloud-messaging service or a Smart Bill-operated push-notification backend.
Smart Bill can generate invoice PDFs and CSV exports. You choose whether to save or share these files. WhatsApp, SMS and Android sharing actions are user initiated: Smart Bill prepares the selected content and opens an appropriate external application, where you review and perform the final send action. Smart Bill does not automatically send messages.
When you export or share information outside Smart Bill, the destination application, recipient, storage location or service receives the information you selected. Its subsequent handling is outside Smart Bill's control and is governed by the destination's terms and privacy practices. Smart Bill does not host invoices publicly and does not create temporary public invoice links.
Android system Auto Backup is disabled for Smart Bill private application data. Smart Bill also excludes its private data from Android device-transfer extraction rules. Smart Bill's Google Drive application-data synchronization is the supported automatic cross-device business-data recovery mechanism.
Smart Bill has no developer-operated backend server for storing billing records. Network access is used for user-authorized Google Drive synchronization, advertising and actions that open third-party services.
Smart Bill uses Android private application storage, HTTPS Google APIs, the restricted Drive application-data scope, and integrity checks for synchronization snapshots. If you enable App Lock, Smart Bill uses Android's biometric or device-credential system; Smart Bill does not receive or store your biometric data. No device, storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so you should protect access to your device and Google account.
Local data remains on your device until you edit or delete it using available app functions, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app, subject to Android platform behavior. Synchronization data may remain in your Google Drive application-data area and may be updated or removed through Smart Bill's implemented synchronization behavior or Google account controls, subject to Google's policies.
Files exported or shared outside Smart Bill remain wherever you or the receiving application placed them. Smart Bill cannot delete or control those external copies. No specific irreversible deletion time is promised.
You are responsible for having an appropriate basis to enter and use customer information, selecting the correct recipient before sharing, managing access to your device and Google account, and reviewing applicable Google advertising privacy choices.
Smart Bill is a business utility and is not specifically directed to children.
